Preliminary Production

Our preliminary production task was to create a piece of film where one person opens a door, crossing a room and sitting near someone else before or during they converse with each other. This had to be done using three rules, shot-reverse-shots, the 180 degree rule and some match on action.

Our second preliminary production had to be based on the genre which we picked out, We got given the genre, 'comedy'. I came up with the idea to do a kind of slapstick humor, during it as making an audience laugh and get what's going on in the opening two minutes of a film is very challenging. This is why we chose the first main bit of the main character to be hit by a football and fall down in pain. The next main bit of the production was the character pretending he knew and could play the guitar. The last bit of the opening is the bit which relates to the young adults who may have watched the television show 'The Inbetweeners'. We struggled to come up with a title for our, and ended up using 'Just Fittin' in', this was to show that the character was normal and just wanted to 'fit in'.
